How to Fish bosses on this board are ten bait-gated fights. Several trophies are the next bait: Tuna for Albatross, Fish Bucket for Bowhead Whale, Bowhead Whale for Mutated Bowhead Whale. Pufferfish and Whale were nerfed in 1.0.4. Anglerfish health was slightly nerfed in 1.0.10. Handyman is beating the final boss with bare hands; 1.0.4 fixed that achievement for everyone. Easy (the achievement) is a boss kill inside 10 seconds, unrelated to Easy difficulty from Patch 1.0.9.
Ten trophies and the bait chain
Spider Crab on Lighthouse wants Empty Beer Can and the Crab Fishing Rod. Giant Piranha wants Modified Leech; The Old Pike wants Beginner Boss Lure; both sit on Forest with the Fishing Rod. Blue Shark wants Standard Boss Lure; Pufferfish wants Carrot; both sit on Desert. Tuna wants Professional Boss Lure; Albatross wants Tuna; both sit on Rocks. Goblin Shark wants Scientific Boss Lure; Bowhead Whale wants Fish Bucket; Mutated Bowhead Whale wants Bowhead Whale; all three sit on Volcano.

Island order for the ten fights is Lighthouse, Forest, Desert, Rocks, then Volcano. Spider Crab is the only boss on the Crab Fishing Rod; every later trophy lists Fishing Rod. Empty Beer Can, Modified Leech, Carrot, Tuna, Fish Bucket, and Bowhead Whale are unique quest objects rather than the island’s regular lure tier. Beginner Boss Lure, Standard Boss Lure, Professional Boss Lure, and Scientific Boss Lure sit beside those quest objects from Forest through Volcano.
Patch 1.0.4 cut Pufferfish and Whale and repaired Handyman so a bare-hands final kill counts for the whole lobby. Patch 1.0.10 trimmed anglerfish health. Easy as an achievement still means a boss dead in ten seconds; Easy as a 1.0.9 difficulty setting is 25% less creature health and 50% less damage, a different lever. After 1.0.11 you have to hold a trophy once before the sell prompt will take it, which is how a Tuna or Fish Bucket stays available for Albatross and Bowhead Whale.
