Player in orange overalls clinging to a palm trunk with a fishing rod while named melvin
Orange overalls on a palm: the still that hangs next to drip, Collector, and Fishipedia.

How to Fish drip

How to Fish drip is the rare visual variant of a regular creature, not a separate island. This field board defines official and tightly evidenced terms: drip, Fishipedia, Collector, Bean, Handyman, killscore, trick shots, hold-once-before-sell, island 6, Steam Deck Verified, and GeForce NOW. Each entry is a player lookup, not a style guide. Names that stay English in every language — Fishipedia, Bean, Dazed Games — are locked on purpose.

Steam and Dazed Games capture.

How to use this board

If a word is an achievement name, the achievements list has the icon, description, and percentage. If it is a bait or a creature, the matching board has island, rod, and bait fields. If it changed in a patch, the patch log has the dated note. This glossary does not reprint those tables; it only names the term so you can hang the right peg.

Steam Deck Verified and GeForce NOW are 1.0.11 platform words, not bait words. Hold-once-before-sell is a 1.0.11 money-loop word. Island 6 is a 1.0.11 dock number. If a patch after 1.0.11 renames any of these, the patch log is the first peg to update. Community names Lighthouse through Volcano stay labelled as community on the island chain, not as official atlas titles.

Drip
A rare visual variant of a regular creature. The Drip achievement is one kill; Fishipedia is the full drip set. Patch 1.0.5 fixed an off-by-one Fishipedia unlock. Patch 1.0.11 cooked drip parrotfish correctly. Drip is not a separate dock on the island chain.
Fishipedia
Official achievement: find and kill all drip creatures. It is the drip completion, not the regular Collector list. Patch 1.0.5 fixed an unlock that fired on the next drip instead of the last one. Hang Fishipedia next to Collector, not as a second bestiary.
Collector
Official achievement: find and kill all the creatures. That is the regular roster completion. Drip skins do not replace this list. Global unlock sat at 16.8% in the sealed capture.
Hold-once-before-sell
Patch 1.0.11 rule: an item must have been held once before it can be sold. A body dumped from the water onto a vendor prompt does not count. Unique boss baits need this pick-up before you even look at the sell price.
Killscore multiplier
Combat streak value. Impressive is a 5× multiplier. Noob is a kill with no multiplier. Trick shots, including 360 no scope, sit on the same combat layer as the multiplier, not on a separate skill menu.
Bean
Official achievement: finish the game within 1 hour. Community reports after Patch 1.0.5 say the locked-island fix means Bean follows the normal unlock chain rather than a Lighthouse-to-Volcano skip. Easy difficulty can shrink fights; it does not reopen skipped docks.
Handyman
Official achievement: defeat the final boss with your bare hands. Patch 1.0.4 fixed it for everyone. It is not the 10-second Easy achievement and not Bean. Global unlock sat at 3.6% in the sealed capture.
Island 6
Official number for the dock where Patch 1.0.11 moved the roulette table. No proper name appears in that note. Community names stop at Volcano. There are no regular catches on this column.
Steam Deck Verified / GeForce NOW
Both land in Patch 1.0.11. Steam still lists Windows as the only native OS. Consoles and Mac remain undated on dazed.games. Deck verification is not a Linux depot.
Trick shot
Store language for stylish kills. 360 no scope is the named one. Impressive is a 5x killscore multiplier on the same combat layer. These are loop extras, not extra islands or extra rods.
