First-person golden sniper rifle aimed over open water under a low-poly sun

How to Fish weapons

How to Fish weapons start at zero. The lighthouse still shows the shop board: hung lures, a pistol, knuckles, a knife, dynamite. Those objects exist in the official screenshot; this page does not invent damage numbers or prices for them. Patch 1.0.11 makes your own explosives lethal even with friendly fire disabled, which is the practical dynamite rule. The same patch removed iron sight as a purchasable attachment because players bought it by mistake and lost expensive attachments.

Steam and Dazed Games capture.

Rods

Creature tables use two rods. Crab Fishing Rod covers Lighthouse catches plus Forest Piranha. Fishing Rod covers everything from Forest mackerel through Volcano stonefish and all bosses after Spider Crab. There is no third official rod name on the sealed board. Hang the rod the island’s table lists; swapping early does not invent extra species.

The crash loadout is empty. The first rod is whatever the lighthouse leaves you, which the community table names Crab Fishing Rod. Forest is where the Fishing Rod takes over for the rest of the chain. That split is why Piranha still lists the crab rod on a Forest dock while Mackerel already wants the fishing rod on the same island.

There is still no official third rod. If a community post names a legendary pole, it is not on this sealed board. Use Crab Fishing Rod where the creature table says so, then the Fishing Rod from Forest mackerel onward.

Boat engines

Getting an upgrade is the first engine purchase. I am speed is the best engine. I’m the bird now is making the boat fly. Those three Steam achievements are the entire official engine ladder on this board. Patch 1.0.10 keeps dropped weapons and tools on the ground (up to 64) and uncooks them in water, which matters when a flying-boat attempt dumps kit overboard.

Island travel is quest-gated. Patch 1.0.5 blocked boats from visiting locked islands. A faster engine does not skip Forest, Desert, Rocks, or Volcano. Bean after that patch still has to run the chain. Use the engine to move between unlocked docks, not as a clip onto island 6’s roulette table.

A flying boat is an achievement, not an unlock skip. After 1.0.5 you still cannot visit locked islands. Park the boat at the unlocked dock and hang the next bait instead of trying to clip volcano from lighthouse.

Attachments and input

Fully equipped is every attachment on a single weapon. Patch 1.0.11 removed iron sight as a shop item because crews were buying it by mistake and losing expensive attachments already on the gun. The same note blocked suppressor-to-compensator downgrades. Aim toggle, sprint toggle, hold-to-attack, and nametag toggling arrived with Deck verification.

PlayStation controller glyphs were fixed in 1.0.8. Steam lists full controller support including DualShock and DualSense. Friendly fire off does not save you from your own explosives as of 1.0.11, so dynamite on Melvin’s board is a co-op hazard as much as a hunting tool. There is no official DPS table; hang the sealed attachment rules and leave shop prices off this peg.

Controller glyphs for PlayStation were fixed in 1.0.8. Aim toggle, sprint toggle, and hold-to-attack arrived with Deck verification in 1.0.11. Those input notes matter more than a fake DPS sheet.

Fully equipped is every attachment on one gun, not every gun in the shop. Put the expensive kit on a single weapon and leave iron sight off the list after 1.0.11. If a friend still sees iron sight in an old screenshot, that screenshot is pre-patch.
